Style cohesiveness: Stick to one style throughout your space. The same goes for your colour scheme—alternate colours, but ensure they all flow together. Don’t start introducing new elements in different rooms—it disrupts the harmony. Scale and proportion: Your furniture should match the size of the room and itself. For example, a small Toronto home doesn’t need oversized furniture, and a large suburban space needs more than petite, elegant pieces.
