A new take on terry cloth, our organic cotton dish towels reverse from a complex, graphic weave in blue and white to solid white terry. The textured, flat-weave side dries delicate glassware to a lint-free finish, while the terry cloth side is ideal for drying pots and pans. Part of our kitchen textile collection in classic indigo, the set of two textured terry kitchen towels is a Crate & Barrel exclusive.

  • 20 years in the design business, and I see two common mistakes in most homes: lack of style cohesiveness and issues with scale and proportion. Style cohesiveness: Stick to one style throughout your space. The same goes for your colour scheme—alternate colours, but ensure they all flow together. Don’t start introducing new elements in different rooms—it disrupts the harmony. Scale and proportion: Your furniture should match the size of the room and itself. For example, a small Toronto home doesn’t need oversized furniture, and a large suburban space needs more than petite, elegant pieces.
